My Therapeutic Approach

My work as a therapist is based on Gestalt therapy – an approach that focuses on what you experience in the present moment: your thoughts, your bodily sensations, your emotions. In psychotherapy, this means that we don't just talk about problems, but together explore how burdens manifest in your daily life and what you can concretely change.

The Gestalt therapy approach connects perception, awareness, and personal development. Instead of just treating symptoms, we look at the bigger picture together – and work towards helping you understand yourself better and become more capable of action.

Strengthen Perception

Learn to perceive your inner processes more consciously – thoughts, feelings, and physical signals. This mindfulness is the first step towards lasting change.

Develop Awareness

Understand which patterns shape your thinking and actions. In therapy, we make these connections visible and create space for new experiences.

Enable Development

Develop concrete strategies for your everyday life. The focus is on changes you can actually implement – step by step and at your own pace.

Process and Framework

Every therapy begins with a personal initial consultation. This gives us the space to talk calmly about your concerns, get to know each other, and find out together whether working with me feels right for you.

Initial Consultation

In our first conversation, we get to know each other. You share what has brought you here, and I explain how I work. Together we explore whether and how therapy can support you. The consultation is confidential and entirely without obligation.

An Individual Approach

Every therapy is shaped individually. Together we decide which themes take centre stage and at what pace we work. There is no rigid plan – the therapy follows what matters most to you at any given time.

Sessions In-Person or Online

Sessions take place in my practice in Frankfurt-Nordend or as online therapy via video – flexible and independent of location. Both formats offer the same quality and depth. Sessions usually last 50 minutes and take place in a regular rhythm.

Reviewing Together

At regular intervals, we pause to reflect on how you are doing and what has shifted. Are we moving towards the goals that matter to you?

Closing the Process

When the time feels right, we talk about how the therapy has been for you and what has changed. Have we reached the goals we set together, and can the process be brought to a close?

Aftercare and Prevention

Together we think about how you can carry what you have learned into other areas of your life – and what can help you to stay stable and grounded in the long term.
